History

Sivagangai is a wonderful small town which has the remnants of its glorious past. Founded by Sasivarnana Periya Udaya Thevar, he was considered to the first king of the Sivagangai dynasty. Situated near Thiruppathur near Sivagangai, Kundrakudi is famous for temples and the temple of Lord Subramanya is located here in this place. For this reason a large number of pilgrims visit Kundrakudi.
