There are more than one thousand rooms, offering spiritual ease, and modern amenities.

The main aim of the Ashram life is stimulation of senses and a connection of inner self with the Divine. During your stay, you can feel the surrounding peace settling in your mind as well as nature. The venue has hosted various sages, yogis, saints and other holy men.

The Ashram is one for people of all races, genders, castes and nationalities. The Ashram is also the venue of the ‘International Yoga Festival’, which is celebrate every year from 1st to 7th March. As Parmarth Niketan has a private Ganga ghat, it also organizes evening Ganga Aarti, on a daily basis.

Regular cultural and spiritual programs are offered by visiting social and spiritual leaders, revered saints and other. Along with this, there are regular camps also where intensive courses of Yoga and Meditation, Reiki, Ayurveda, stress management, acupressure etc. are offered

The ashram was founded in the year 1942 by the great saint Pujya Swami Shukdevanandji Maharaj. In the year 1986, Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji Maharaj became the President and Spiritual Head of the Ashram. It is the largest ashram in Rishikesh with well-maintained lush gardens.

Breathtaking surroundings is one of the best attractions of the Ashram including other attractions such as the huge 14-feet statue of Lord Shiva, statue of Lord Hanuman, and the garden of Parmarth Niketan. The other nearby places to visit in Rishikesh include Vashisht Cave (30 km), Triveni Ghat (9 km), Lakshman Jhula (3 km) and Ram Jhula (500 m).
