Itinerary - Chardham Yatra From Delhi

Day 1 - Delhi to Haridwar by road

The holy tour begins from Delhi to Haridwar. On the road trip to Haridwar, get your Biometric registration done for the Yatra. After reaching Haridwar, complete the check-in formalities at the hotel and relax. Get over the journey fatigue with some refreshment. In the evening get ready to attend the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti on the banks of the Ganges. Later, return to the hotel for dinner and have a sound sleep.

Day 2 - Drive from Haridwar to Barkot

On the second day, early morning, you will be driven to Barkot (Jankichatti). Barkot is a wonderful hill station located at the foot of Yamunotri. En-route you can visit the famous Kempty Falls. After reaching Barkot, check-in to your hotel or camp. Unwind and enjoy some delicious meals and save your energy for the pahadi yatra of Yamunotri the next day. Enjoy dinner at night and get over the journey fatigue with a refreshing sleep at the hotel.

Day 3 - Trip Barkot– Yamunotri – Barkot

Kickstart your day with a healthy breakfast and head towards Yamunotri Dham. From Janki Chatti, you will begin the first Pahad Char Dham Yatra of Yamunotri, which is almost a 6 km long trek. Do not worry, options of hiring palki, ponies, or a horse are also available (At your own cost).

The path to Yamunotri has beautiful sceneries around a lush green valley surrounded by several species of Himalayan shrubs, plenty of conifers, rhododendrons, cacti, etc. Located at an altitude of about 3,291 m, Yamunotri is the western-most shrine of the Char Dhams nestled in the lap of the Bandarpunch range. It is also the source of the river Yamuna. After reaching Yamunotri at noon, take a holy dip in the Yamuna River and then go for the darshan. After Darshan, get back to Janki Chatti from the same route to reach the hotel. Later, hop onto your cozy bed for a restful sleep.

Day 4 - Drive towards Uttarkashi

The next morning checkout from the hotel after having a toothsome breakfast. Today, you will be transferred to Uttarkashi. The town is located on the banks of the river Bhagirathi and renowned for its historical monuments, temples, ashrams, and stunning scenic beauty. After reaching, check-in into the hotel and unwind. Later in the evening visit the famous Vishwanath Temple. Enjoy dinner and surrender yourself to the dream world.

Day 5 - A Round trip to Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi

Start your day with a toothsome breakfast. Today, you will be transferred to Gangotri Dham. Gangotri is a Hindu pilgrim town on the banks of the river Bhagirathi and the origin of the holy river Ganges. This Dham is snuggled in the lap of the beautiful Garhwal Himalayas range, at an altitude of about 3048 m. After reaching Gangotri take a holy dip in the pious river the Ganges and then pay a visit to the Gangotri Temple. The temple is 18th century old and dedicated to Goddess Ganga. The beautiful temple is made of white marble and has an imposing structure of 20 feet. After the holy darshan and pooja drive back to Uttarkashi. After dinner, hop onto your cozy bed for a restful sleep.

Day 6 - Uttarkashi – Guptkashi

Greet the early morning sun and enjoy your delicious breakfast. Get ready to hit your next destination, which is Guptkashi. This beautiful town is located at a distance of about 47 km away from the holy shrine, Kedarnath. The town holds eternal religious significance as it houses famous ancient temples such as Vishwanath Temple and Ardhnareshwar Temple. On reaching, complete your check-in formalities and relax. Get your medical checkup done for your subsequent holy journey to Kedarnath. Savor delicious dinner and enjoy a restful sleep.

Day 7 - A trip to Sonprayag – Kedarnath

The next morning checkout from the hotel after having a toothsome breakfast. Today, you will be transferred to Sonprayag. After reaching Sonprayag, you will start your memorable 20 km trek to Kedarnath Dham. The people who are not able to do such a long trek can hire a Doli, ponies, or a horse (At your own cost). Kedarnath Yatra offers the best scenic views during the trek. River Mandakini is the main tributary of the Ganges, which begins at Kedarnath and flows through Gaurikund. The atmosphere during the yatra is super amazing, the chants of "Jai Bholenath" and "Har Har Mahadev" echo in the mountains. After reaching, check-in at Govt. Camps/Lodges in Kedarnath and wait for the next morning for the darshan of Mahadeva. Enjoy the delicious dinner and stay overnight in Kedarnath at the Govt. Camps/Lodges.

Day 8 - The holy Darshan of Kedarnath

Greet the next day and get ready for the most awaited moment, the holy darshan of Kedarnath Ji. Wake up early morning, bathe and visit the temple by 4:45 am for Abhishek to Lord Kedarnath. Devotees are allowed to enter inside the Garbha Griha and touch the idol. You can also bow with your head touching the idol. After completing your holy darshan of Kedarnath Ji return to the Govt. Camps / Lodges. After some rest and checking your luggage trek back to Sonprayag. After reaching, you will be transferred to your respective hotel at Guptkashi/ Rudraprayag. Get over the journey fatigue with a refreshing sleep at the hotel.

Day 9 - Trip to Badrinath via Joshimath

The next morning checkout from the hotel around 8:00 AM after having a toothsome breakfast. Today, you will be transferred to Badrinath temple via Joshimath. Badrinath is one of the most important pilgrimage sites, which holds great importance for both Hindus and Buddhists. Badrinath temple is set at a height of about meters and dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The way to Badrinath via Joishmat is beautiful and offers a memorable experience. Once you arrive in Badrinath check into the hotel and take some rest. Later in the evening, get ready to visit Badrinath Temple for darshan and aarti but before the holy darshan, you have to go to Tapt Kund (Hot Spring) to take a bath and then go to the temple. The temple of Shri Badrinath Ji is about 15 meters in height, built in the form of a cone with a small cupola of a gilt bull and spire. Later, get back to the hotel, enjoy the dinner, and have a restful sleep.

Day 10 - Badrinath – Joshimath – Rudraprayag

Kickstart your day with a hot spring bath and pay a visit to Badrinath Temple for Darshan and morning aarti. Later, return to the hotel and enjoy some delicious breakfast. After your breakfast, get ready to enjoy the local sightseeing tour of Badrinath. Visit major attractions of Badrinath such as Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, and Mata Murti temple. After sightseeing, check out from the hotel and head towards Rudraprayag via Joshimath. En-route also pay a visit to Karanprayag, which holds a great religious significance. After reaching Rudraprayag, check-in to the hotel and rest of the time at leisure. Explore the town, enjoy shopping, or simply rest at the hotel. After an amazing day, return to the hotel for a sound sleep.

Day 11 - A trip to "Yoga Capital of the World", Rishikesh

Greet the early morning sun, enjoy your delicious breakfast check out from the hotel, and head towards Rishikesh. This town is located on the foothills of the Himalayas, on the convergence of the River Ganga and River Chandrabhaga. Famous for its religious importance this city is one of the best known for its adventure activities. After reaching Rishikesh you will be transferred to your respective hotel, on reaching complete the check-in formalities, and relax. Later, get ready for the sightseeing of Rishikesh, Visit Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula. Later in the evening, attend the grand Ganga Aarti, which is one of the best things to experience in this town. The ritual is performed on the Ghat of Rishikesh is a beauty to behold. After an amazing day, return to the hotel for a sound sleep.

Day 12 - The Tour Concludes

Wake up to an appetizing breakfast and complete your checkout formalities. As your Chardham Yatra from Delhi by road concludes, you will be transferred to Delhi. After reaching Delhi, you will have an assisted transfer to the Railway Station / Airport for your journey back home.
