Itinerary

Day 1 - Dehradun - Yamunotri

Your spiritual sojourn begins as soon as you arrive at the helipad on Sahastradhara Road, Dehradun. You will be briefed about the do's and don'ts for a safe journey. At around 7:00 AM, the helicopter will depart and will reach the Kharsali helipad for Yamunotri at 7:45 AM. On arrival, you will be escorted to the hotel.

Freshen up and leave for paying homage at Yamunotri Temple. It is a part of the Chota Chardham Yatra of Uttarakhand where Goddess Yamuna is worshipped. The temple sits on the left bank of River Yamuna and was sculpted by Maharaja Pratap Shah of Tehri Garhwal. The presiding deity sits in the form of a black marble idol.

Don't forget to visit Janki Chatti, the thermal springs.

Night stay.

Day 2 - Yamunotri - Gangotri

On this day, you will be leaving for the next holy destination of the Chardham Yatra, Gangotri. You are supposed to reach the Yamunotri helipad at 7:45 AM and your arrival at Harsil helipad is scheduled at 8:30 AM. The temple is settled some 22 km away from the helipad and will take around 50 minutes to reach.

Gangotri is a Hindu pilgrim town which is located on the banks of River Bhagirathi, where Ganga origins. The temple sits at an altitude of 3100 m and cherishes the amazing view of the surrounding area. Pay obeisance at the temple and revel in the chants of the Goddess Ganga. The Gurkha General, Amar Singh Thapa is accredited for the construction of the dham.

Later, leave for the hotel, and complete the check-in formalities. Rest of the evening is free for leisure activities. Guests can go for a nature walk in the nearby villages.

Overnight stay.

Day 3 - Gangotri - Kedarnath

Begin the day early and get ready for soothing your senses at the next destination of the Chardham Yatra. The helicopter will leave at 9:00 AM from Harsil helipad and will arrive at Kedarnath helipad at 10:00 AM. The distance from the helipad to the temple can be covered on foot.

Kedarnath Temple is the resting place of Lord Shiva and is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of the deity. The shrine is located at an elevation of 3584 m and is believed to be built by the Pandavas in the first place. What we see today was the gift of Adi Shankaracharya during the 8th century. After seeking blessings from the Lord, leave for your next destination which is Triyuginarayan temple.

Devotees come here to worship Lord Vishnu. It is believed that the temple is built at the same spot from where Lord Vishnu saw the holy union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. One of the major highlights of the temple is the fire that burns in front of it which is the reason why the temple is known as Akhand Dhuni.

Night stay.

Day 4 - Kedarnath - Badrinath

This day, you will be leaving from Kedarnath/Guptkashi helipad at 10:15 AM and will arrive at Badrinath helipad at 11:00 AM. Upon reaching, you will be escorted to the hotel. Complete the check-in formalities and get ready for the spiritually enlightening journey to Badrinath Temple. The presiding deity of the shrine is Lord Vishnu who is also revered as Lord Badri. Seek blessings at the temple and listen to the chants praising the lord.

Badrinath Temple is cuddled amid the Nar and Narayan mountain ranges and sits on the left bank of Alaknanda River. The shrine is one of the 108 Divya Desams and is crowded by Vaishnavites.

Later in the evening, you can visit Mana Village, the last village before the Indo-China border. Vyas Gufa and Bhim Pul are the famous spots of the village.

Overnight stay.

Day 5 - Badrinath - Return to Dehradun

On day 5, you will be going for Abhishek pooja at Badrinath Temple. The pooja begins at 4:30 AM and lasts for about 2 hours. After seeking blessings from the deity, depart from the Badrinath helipad at 11:30 AM to reach Sahastradhara helipad at 12:30 PM.

This marks the end of your Chardham Yatra by Helicopter tour.
