Chardham Yatra is the staircase that leads pilgrims step by step closer to salvation. Beginning from Gangotri, the sojourn leads to Badrinath, Kedarnath, and concludes on Yamunotri. These four holy sites are part of the Chota Char Dham of Uttarakhand and highly revered by Hindus. Day 1: Dehradun

Upon your arrival at Dehradun airport/ railway station, our tour representative will meet you and you will have an assisted transfer to the hotel. Complete the check-in formalities at the hotel and relax. The rest of the day is at your leisure. It is recommended to reach Dehradun by 2:00 P.M or earlier as you will have a briefing session in the evening. You will also receive a duffle bag to carry your luggage during the journey.

Day 2: Dehradun – Gangotri – Badrinath – Kedarnath – Sirsi

Sahastradhara to Gangotri

0500 Hrs. Check out from Dehradun hotel
0600 Hrs. ETD from Sahastradhara helipad
0630 Hrs. ETA at Harsil

Your spiritual sojourn begins as soon as you arrive at the helipad on Sahastradhara Road, Dehradun. At around 6:00 AM, the helicopter will depart and will reach the Harsil helipad for Gangotri at 6:30 AM. On arrival, you will have breakfast and then you will be escorted to the temple. Gangotri is a Hindu pilgrim town which is located on the banks of River Bhagirathi, where Ganga originates. The temple sits at an altitude of 3100 m and cherishes the amazing view of the surrounding area. Pay obeisance at the temple and revel in the chants of the Goddess Ganga. The Gorkha General, Amar Singh Thapa is accredited for the construction of the Dham.

You will have approximately 3 hours (round trip) for Gangotri Darshan. The temple is settled some 22 km away from the helipad and will take around 50 minutes to reach. Enjoy the darshan and head back to the Harsil helipad by 1030 hours to board the helicopter for Badrinath Temple.

Badrinath to Sirsi

1300 Hrs. ETD from Badrinath
1330 Hrs. ETA at Sirsi

HHSPL has its heli-base in Sirsi. You will board a flight from the Badrinath helipad for Sirsi. You will arrive at Sirsi helipad at 1:30 P.M and then the lunch will be served. After savoring the lunch, you will fly for the Kedarnath helipad. The darshan at Kedarnath will be done on the same day or early morning the next day. It is subject to weather conditions and time left for darshan.

1630 Hrs. ETA at Sirsi (after darshan)

You will depart from Sirsi helipad at 2:15 P.M after having lunch. It will take 7-minutes from Sirsi to Kedarnath helipad. The distance from the helipad to the temple can be covered on foot. Kedarnath Temple is the resting place of Lord Shiva and is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of the deity. The shrine is located at an elevation of 3584 m and is believed to be built by the Pandavas in the first place.

You have 2 hours to report back at Kedarnath helipad. Seeks blessing from Lord Shiva and then heads back to the helipad to board the flight for Sirsi.

Day 3: Sirsi – Yamunotri - Sahastradhara

Sirsi-Yamunotri- Sirsi

0730 Hrs. ETD from Sirsi
0800 Hrs. ETA at Kharsali Heli-base

On the last day of the tour, you will check out from the hotel and head towards Sirsi helipad to board a flight for Kharsali heli-base. HHSPL will arrange a pony and palki for you. You can cover the 6 km (one side) of distance from Kharsali to Yamunotri in 1 hour.

Pay homage to the Goddess Yamunotri at the temple. The temple sits on the left bank of River Yamuna and was sculpted by Maharaja Pratap Shah of Tehri Garhwal. The presiding deity sits in the form of a black marble idol. You will have approximately 5 hours 30 minutes (round trip). On arrival at Kharsali helipad, you will savor lunch.

Yamunotri to Sahastradhara

1430 Hrs. ETD from Kharsali
1500 Hrs. ETA at Sahastradhara Heliport

From Kharsali helipad, you board a flight for Sahastradhara. This marks the end of your Chardham Yatra by Helicopter tour. On arrival, you will have an assisted transfer to the hotel from where you will pick your luggage. Later, you will embark for the Dehradun airport/ railway station for onward journey.

In case, guests wish to stay in Dehradun then they must inform us at the time of booking. The accommodation can be arranged by HHSPL, at an additional cost.

Ans: Yes, tourists are allowed for Char Dham Yatra. Although due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Yatra is open for residents of the state only by Government of Uttarakhand. However, it will begin for outsiders from September 2020.

Ans: Char Dham Yatra is open for only six months from May to October. The best time to visit for Char Dham Yatra is from April to May due to the pleasant climatic conditions.
