As Parmarth Niketan has a private Ganga ghat, it also organizes evening Ganga Aarti, on a daily basis.

The ashram was founded in the year 1942 by the great saint Pujya Swami Shukdevanandji Maharaj. In the year 1986, Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji Maharaj became the President and Spiritual Head of the Ashram. It is the largest ashram in Rishikesh with well-maintained lush gardens.
