Coonoor is located in the western part of Tamil Nadu, India’s southern region, at the head of the Hulikal ravine (1850 m above sea level). It is easily accessible from Ooty (19 km).

How To Reach Coonoor

  • By Air - Coonoor does not have an airport of its own. The nearest airport is in Coimbatore (70 km), and the international airport is in Bangalore (350 km). Take a flight to either of the airports and hire a taxi to reach Coonoor.
  • By Train - Coonoor is on the toy-train line between Mettupalayam (28 km) and Ooty on the Nilgiri Mountain Railway. The major railway station nearby is in Coimbatore.
