Your northeast India honeymoon package will take you for an exotic tour across West Bengal in Darjeeling, Mirik, and Kalimpong, along with Sikkim’s Gangtok and an offbeat attraction, Tsomgo Lake. You’ll get to ride the UNESCO World Heritage Train, get awe-inspired by visiting the Tiger Hill and explore enchanting monasteries and some of the hidden treasures.

On arrival in Siliguri at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (68 km) / Bagdogra Airport (69 km) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand (62 km) you will meet our representative. He will escort you to your further destination to Darjeeling.
After you reach Darjeeling, you can check-in at the hotel and relax. Later in the evening, you can spend your time on your own. Go for a leisure walk in the streets or towards the local shopping centers. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Darjeeling is home to the famous World Heritage Train, the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) or even proudly known as the toy train. The lovely hill station is located at a height of 7100 feet above the sea level and it displays radiant aromatic lush tea estates, breath-taking scenery, bustling narrow streets and many Buddhist monasteries painted in yellow and red.
Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.
The next morning, you will be woken up early around 3:45 AM to be driven to Tiger Hill (11 km) to see the sunrise. One of the major attractions here is the majestic Khangchendzonga Peak which can be seen glistering as the sunrise with orange-pinkish hue. This is a great way to freshen up in the morning with stunning sunrise and a walk amid the Oak forests.
Later, you will be taken to the Ghoom Monastery. Also known as Yiga Choeling Monastery, it is one of the oldest gompas in Darjeeling which belongs to the Yellow sect of Buddhism. The construction of Ghoom Monastery began in 1850. The main attraction here is the statue of Maitreya Buddha, the Lord Buddha of the future. The War Memorial built in the memory of Gorkha martyrs is also a great place to visit. This attraction is bounded by Batasia Loop which can be reached by roadways or by opting a ride in the toy train which traverses the loop.
After the tour, return to the hotel for breakfast/brunch and head out for the second leg of the tour. You will be taken to Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, along with other places like Ropeway, Tensing Gumpo Rock, Peace Pagoda and Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre (Closed on Sunday). A trip to Tea Estate, Natural History Museum (Sunday Closed), and Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday) is an added plus.
Popular for its conservation breeding programs of various species of the Eastern Himalaya like Tibetan Wolf, Red Panda, Snow Leopards and others, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park is Darjeeling's ultimate tourist place. The Cable Car ride offers the breathtaking sight of the tea estates of Darjeeling and spectacular Rangeet Valley. The Peace Pagoda is one of the stunning attractions with a white-colored huge dome and golden-colored Buddha statues in various postures.
After the tour, you will be driven back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will be driven to Mirik for a day excursion. This offbeat hill station is seated at an elevation of 1494 meters above sea level near Darjeeling. It has become a popular place to visit amongst the tourists for its scenic spots. This quaint town is blessed with verdant tea gardens and beautiful landscapes along with Sumendu Lake. You can spend your day indulging in activities like boating in Sumendu Lake and horse riding to explore the town.
Later in the evening, you will be driven to Darjeeling; you can stop at Pashupati Market (on the India-Nepal Border). Here, you can collect souvenirs like antiques and foreign goods. Upon arrival at Darjeeling, the evening is free for visiting the Mall Road and the neighboring area.
After the tour, you can return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Darjeeling honeymoon package also includes a visit to Kalimpong. The next day, you can check out from the hotel after breakfast and drive to Kalimpong. This town is located at the foothills of the Himalayas at an altitude of 1250 meters above the sea level. Kalimpong offers a relaxed ambiance and boasts of the most striking views of the Himalayan. Surrounded by Buddhist monasteries and colonial-style architecture, the town attracts tourists from across the globe.
On arrival at Kalimpong, check-in at the hotel and after resting for a while, leave for sightseeing around the town. Some of the attractions you'll be taken to are Forest Museum (closed on Thursday), Hanuman Mandir, Deolo Hill, Dr. Graham Homes, Mangal Dham, Durpin Monastery, and Pine View Nurseries (Cactus Only).
Formally known as Zangtok Pelri Phodang, Durpin Gompa is one of the largest monasteries in Kalimpong. The monastery was consecrated by Dalai Lama in the year 1976. The monastery has beautiful religious murals and from the terrace, you can cherish a panoramic view of Kanchenjunga. Not just from here, even the Deolo Hill offers mesmerizing views of the Kanchenjunga. It is the world's third highest mountain. Pony rides are also offered to the kids. You can also visit the Dr. Graham Homes, a school and an orphanage started by Dr. J A Graham, a Scottish missionary in 1900.
After the tour, you can return to the hotel in Kalimpong for an overnight stay.
On day 5, begin your tour to Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim after your breakfast. On arrival, check-in the hotel and rest for a while. In the evening, you can spend time on your own by exploring the popular M.G. Road. It has many shops where you can buy Thangka paintings, woolen clothes, and many more. After the excursion in the evening, you can return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Gangtok is located at an elevation of 1600 meters above sea level. It is one of the beautiful hill towns of Sikkim and is best-known tourist destinations in the entire North-eastern region of the country. Gangtok is blessed with abundant lush scenery and Buddhist monasteries; its pleasant climate also attracts many honeymooners to spend their vacation here.
After breakfast, visit sites like Research Institute of Tibetology, Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, Enchey Monastery, Do Drul Chorten (Stupa), Flower Show, Ganesh Tok, White Hall, Hanuman Tok, Banjhakri Falls, and Tashi View Point.
Hanuman Tok is one of Sikkim's famous temples which it is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. The temple complex offers amazing views and is a great photo spot for avid photographers. Now, the temple complex is maintained by the Indian Army.
Do Drul Chorten Monastery is amongst the biggest stupas in Sikkim built in 1945 by the head of Nyingma sect of Tibetan Buddhism, Late Truslshi Rimpoche. The major highlight of this stupa is the golden-colored dome and lamas engrossed in their prayers.
Enchey Monastery is one of the most popular Gompas founded in the year 1909. Located on a hill, it offers exciting views of Mount Kanchenjunga. The structure of the monastery is inspired by a Chinese Pagoda. Here, you can spot the statues of Guru Rinpoche and Lord Buddha.
Flower Exhibition Centre is another popular attraction in Gangtok near the Ride Park and White Hall. This exhibition has a greenhouse and it consists of a variety of floral species like celosia, roses, gerberas, orchids and more. All of these attractions complete your Sikkim honeymoon package.
Later, you can visit the discotheques in Gangtok followed by an overnight stay.
After breakfast, head out to visit nearby attractions around Gangtok. No Gangtok honeymoon package can be complete without taking an excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir.
Tsomgo Lake or Changu Lake lies at an elevation of 12,400 feet above the sea level. It is a glacial lake which is approximately 37 km away from Gangtok. This amazing attraction is frequently visited by Brahmin ducks along with other beautiful migratory birds. Tsomgo Lake is shaped in oval and it is 50 feet deep. It is mostly covered with snow throughout the year. There are many shops near the lake selling Yak cheese. There are also Yak safaris which allow you can take a tour around the banks of the lake on a Yak. There is also a temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
After exploring the lake, visit Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial War temple, it is located around 20 km from Tsomgo Lake. The war memorial was built in the memory of Harbhajan Singh of the 23rd Punjab Regiment. He sacrificed his life in the Indo-China during the 1962 Sino-Indian War. This war memorial has turned into a temple. This temple was constructed in 1983 inside the bunker. There is also a wishing pond near the temple where it is believed that your wishes will come true if you throw a coin in the pond.
Later that day, you can return to Gangtok, you can rest for the day. If time permits, you will be taken to visit Mall Road.
Note – In case of bad weather or landslides, there will be an alternate sightseeing option instead of Tsomgo Lake.
After breakfast on the last day of the Northeast Honeymoon Package, you will be driven to your selected station for the transfer to Siliguri / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport / Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand.
