One of the most popular museums of Bikaner, Rajasthan State Archives is a treasure house of valuable organization records of the Mughal times including Nishans, Akbarat, Arzdasht, Persian Farmans, Vakil Report, Khatoot and Manshurs. Other possession of the museum include administrative records of erstwhile princely states of Rajasthan including Rukkas, Bahiat, Parwanas, Chithiat¸ Pattas and so on.

This archive museum is not only popular amid tourists but is also visited by researchers from all across. The museum has all the facilities for the visiting researchers. Research rooms, microfilming, and reference library are some of such facilities. Tourists can see several important documents on display at Rajasthan State Archives.

Freedom Fighter Gallery

Under its Oral History Project, the museum has chronicled the memories of 246 freedom fighters of the state. There are hard discs as well as CDs with the voices of the freedom fighters.  Other display here is beautifully laminated photographs of 212 freedom fighters along with short description about them. The first graphic freedom fighter gallery of Rajasthan, it opened in the year 2010.

Archival Gallery

Archival Gallery is completely dedicated to Archives’ treasure. There are scanned copes of the rare documents of Mughal and Rajput times including Nishans, Manshur and Farmans. Departmental publication and other documents like Vakil resort, Missile, Toji, and Bahi are al;so a part of the rich collection.
