By Air:The nearest airport to Rishikesh is the Jolly Grant airport at Dehradun 35 kilometres away.

By Rail:The nearest railhead to Rishikesh is in Haridwar which is approximately 25 kilometres away.

By Road:It is easy to reach Rishikesh by road. Buses and private vehicles are available from Delhi, 227 kilometres away.

Best Time for Camping In Rishikesh

Camping is an adventure sport and nature plays a very important role to add to the thrill. For a camping tour in Rishikesh, no time is bad. Camps are set up right at the sand on the banks of River Ganga. Monsoon in the Himalayan town is not preferred therefore the camps close down in July and August. The camping seasons are March to June and September to November. Best time, however, is between April and October.
