Itinerary - Tibet Overland Tour

Day 1 - Kathmandu

Arrive on time to board the bus going to the border at Tatopani. On the 4 hour journey the bus passes through the traditional villages and agricultural fields before reaching the Tibet Nepal Border. On arriving at the border , complete the immigration formalities. After the formalities are completed leave for Zhangmu imagination- the border city of china. After the formalities move forward to Nyalamu. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2 - Lhatse

Next day in the morning after breakfast, drive through the dry, plateau highlands. While on drive get a chance to visit some of the world's highest mountain ranges like Gauri Shankar, Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu Langtang, Xixapangma, Dorje Lakpa, and Gauri Shankar, Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse and Makalu. Stop along the way to view the picturesque scenery while crossing the Lalung-La pass and Nyalam Pass. Retire for the night in a hotel at Lhatse.

Day 3 - Lhatse-Sigatse

On the 3rd day after an early breakfast head for the longest driving day via Gyatsola Pass. While on drive cross Lhatse the place from where the road to Mt. Kailash bifurcates. Spend a comfortable night in the hotel at Sigatse.

Day 4 - Sigatse-Gyantse

Post breakfast, start your day by exploring Sigatse –the second largest city of Tibet. Also pay a visit to the world famous Tashilumpo Monastery. Late in the afternoon arrive Gyantse- a small historical town situated along the banks of the Nyang Chu River. This town is home to the monastery of Buddha's 1,000 Images and is very popular among the tourist. Night at hotel.

Day 5 - Gyantes-Lhasa

Early morning head straight for our final destination Lhasa. On the way we will pass the famous river Brahmaputra. We may get a sight of many yaks, busy villages, mountain sheep, and lakes while passing over the Karo and Kamba passes. A night to be spent in the hotel.

Day 6-7 - In Lhasa

In the morning head for a sightseeing tour of Lhasa city which include a visit to the Jokhang, the Potala Palace, Drepung & Sera Monasteries, Norbulinka, and surrounding Bakhor market. A night to be spent at the hotel.

Day 8 - Lhasa-Kathmandu

Post breakfast , transfer to the airport situated in the Southwest of Lhasa to catch a flight to your onward destination.
