Overview

The itinerary ‘Rajputana Retreat’ will take you into the kingdom of Rajputana rulers who ruled the desert state of Rajasthan. The journey includes popular states such as Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur and Pushkar among others. Apart from Rajasthan, the journey includes visit to Agra, the erstwhile bastion of Mughal rulers. Itinerary - Rajputana Retreat

Day 1 - Delhi

Upon your arrival in Delhi, you will be assisted in a smooth transfer from airport to your hotel. Day free at leisure. Overnight stay.

Day 2 - Delhi - Agra

Post breakfast, leave for sightseeing to Chandni Chowk, Red Fort and Humayun's Tomb, Qutab Minar, Jama Masjid. Later leave for Agra ,upon arrival in Agra, check into the hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 - Agra - Jaipur

Today morning at Sunrise visit the famous Taj Mahal, built by Emperor Shah Jahan as a shrine for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahal is considered to be the ultimate symbol of love with its marble domes and white minarets. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Agra which includes visit to Agra Fort (built entirely out of red sandstone, this structure is a fine specimen of Mughal architecture).

Later leave by road for Jaipur. On the way, visit the ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri built by Emperor Akbar. Within Fatehpur Sikri, lies the tomb of the great Sufi Saint Salim Chisti. It also houses the Panch Mahal and the Buland Darwaza, two fine specimens of Mughal architecture. Upon arrival in Jaipur, check into the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 - Jaipur

Post breakfast in the morning, embark on a full day sightseeing tour and visit the Hawa Mahal from where the royal women would discreetly observe the activities of the bustling bazaar below. Later, proceed towards Amber Fort via an elephant ride up the Fort's ramparts. In the evening, visit the City Palace Museum with its collection of wonderful costumes, fantastic armory and intricately carved weapons. Here you can also visit the Jantar Mantar Observatory built in 1728. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 - Jaipur - Jodhpur

Post breakfast in the morning, leave by road for Jodhpur, the second largest city of Rajasthan dominated by the massive Mehrangarh Fort. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel for check-in. In the evening, visit the Mehrangarh Fort and the Jaswant Thada, which is a royal cenotaph built in white marble.

Day 6 - Jodhpur - Udaipur

Upon arrival in Udaipur, check into the hotel and spend rest of the day in leisure. In the evening, take a boat ride on Lake Pichola. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 7 - Udaipur Sightseeing

Post Breakfast you will drive to enjoy the City of Lakes. Marvel at the City Palace, Saheliyon Ki Bari and Jagdish Temple. You can also partake in evening Motor Launch cruise on the calm water of Lake Pichola by paying some extra cost.

City Palace - Admire the splendor of the Mewar rulers that they rejoiced during the bygone era by gazing at the City Palace. A number of monuments form an essential part of the complex of City Palace.

Saheliyon Ki Bari - Translating into the gardens of the maids, Saheliyon ki Bari is a sprawling garden with a museum, fountain and marble elephants. The splendid architecture makes this garden, one of the popular tourist destination in Udaipur.

Jagdish Temple - The massive Jagdish Temple stands in the middle of Udaipur. Built-in Indo Aryan style, the temple is an architectural marvel.

Evening you may enjoy Boating at Lake Pichola which can arranged at additional cost.

Come back to Hotel for an overnight stay at Udaipur.

Day 8 - Udaipur - Pushkar

Post breakfast in the morning, leave by road for the holy city of Ajmer. On arrival, you will be transferred to the Pushkar for hotel check-in. In the afternoon, visit Ajmer famous for the Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti. Later, return back to Pushkar for overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 9 - Pushkar – Delhi

In the morning, enjoy the day at leisure till departure. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the railway station to board the train for Delhi. Upon arrival on Delhi, the tour will conclude and you will be transferred to airport for onward journey.
