He also erected a stone dam on the lake.

The banks of the lake have the colossal City Palace complex, beautiful palaces, sacred temples, various bathing ghats and raised hills on all the sides. The City palace complex of Udaipur is one the eastern banks of the lake. The southern part of the lake has Machhala Magra hill from where one can spot Eklinggarh Fort. The north-eastern end of the lake has Mohan Mandir constructed by Jagat Singh.

Several islands are a part of the world-popular Lake Pichola. The well-known Lake Palace is also located on the Jag Island in the placid waters of the lake. Another popular tourist attraction of Udaipur, Jag Mandir, is also placed on an island of the lake. Your visit to Udaipur is incomplete with a boat ride in the Lake Pichola. As you float lavishly on the lake’s serene water, treat your eyes to the wonderful views of the blessed scenery. Boat riding during sunset is an amazing idea.
