Itinerary - Maharaja Retreat

Day 1 - Delhi

As you reach the Delhi airport, meet our representative who'll escort you to one of our listed hotels. Ladies in traditional Indian attire will greet you with garlands and the traditional red "tikka" after an elaborate "aarti" ceremony in the hotel. Check-in at the hotel. Rest and relax for the day. In the evening take a leisurely walk to explore the pulsating night life of Delhi. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2 - Delhi

On the 2nd day of the tour, move out on a city tour of Delhi. The major tourist attractions to visit include the Birla Mandir, Qutab Minar, Red Fort (drive pass), India Gate, the Jama Masjid and President's House & Humayun's Tomb. In the evening visit Red Fort to witness the impressive light and sound show. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3 - Delhi - Agra

Post breakfast, leave for Agra by road. Stop midway to visit Fathepur Sikri and explore places like Salim Chisti's Tomb, Jama Masjid, Panch Mahal etc. Drive to Agra, you reach Agra, check-in at one of our listed hotels. Later in the day visit the Itmad-ud-Daula's Tomb that provides the visitors with some interesting insight into Mughal architecture. Another must watch architectural wonder, is The Red Fort that is frequented by hundreds of visitors every day. In the evening visit the Oswal Emporium where they have a mini Taj Mahal inside their showroom. It took 10 years in building this mini replica of the Taj. One may also the free light and sound show depicting the eras of Taj Mahal. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4 - Agra

Post breakfast, embark on a visit to the world seventh wonder, the Taj Mahal that has left tourist spellbound by its beauty. The Taj Mahal was commissioned by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. The mausoleum is located on the right bank of the river Yamuna at a point where it takes a sharp turn and flows eastwards. Return to the hotel in the evening for an overnight stay.

Day 5 - Agra - Jaipur

Post breakfast, leave for Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri. Upon arrival check-in at one our enlisted hotels. Later in the day explore the major tourist attractions of the city including the Jal Mahal, Jaigarh Fort, Central Museum and Birla Mandir. Evening is to be spent at your own discretion. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6 - Jaipur

The next day begins with an excursion to the Amber Fort which is accompanied with the exciting joy ride on an elephant. The afternoon remains busy with the city tour featuring City Palace along with the Royal Observatory and Hawal Mahal. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7 - Jaipur - Samode

Next morning after breakfast leave for Samode, small village famous for its havelis and forts. Another major tourist attraction to visit include is the Fort of Sheograrh and the Samode Bagh. Enjoy a camel ride in the day time to have a good idea of the surrounding countryside. In the evening if time permits you have the option to explore Shekhawati village, famous for its havelis with murals and wall paintings. This place is also called the living art gallery of the world. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 8 - Samode - Mandawa

Next morning after breakfast drive straight to Mandawa. It is a small beautiful town known for its beautiful havelies and forts. On reaching Mandawa, check-in at the hotel. After resting and relaxing for a while move out on an excursion to the magnificent Mandawa Haveli. The intricately painted walls of this place and the detailed work will enthrall you to the fullest. Some of the other popular havelis that be visited include the Jhunjhunwala Haveli, Hanuman Prasad Goenka Haveli, Gulab Rai Ladia Haveli, Goenka Double Haveli, Murmuria Haveli, and the Mohan Lal Saraf Haveli. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 9 - Mandawa - Delhi

Next morning after breakfast, drive back to Delhi. As you reach Delhi, check-in at one of our listed hotels. The day is to be spent resting and relaxing at your hotel room. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10 - Delhi

Post breakfast, embark on a visit to Qutab Minara and the Humanyun Tomb. Also visit a farm on the outskirts of the capital with a gala farewell dinner along the poolside. After the dinner get transfer to the Delhi airport to board a flight for your onward destination.
