Itinerary - Nepal Bhutan Tour

Day 1 - Kathmandu

On arrival at Kathmandu Airport, you will be greeted by our tour representative who will transfer you to your pre-booked hotel. Complete the check-in formalities at the hotel and spend the rest of the day amid the extreme tranquility and serenity of Kathmandu nestling in the vicinity of the Himalayas. You can also take a tour of the local markets and explore the Nepalese handicraft or simply wander around the streets or relax in your hotel room.

Enjoy your scrumptious dinner at the hotel and stay overnight there.

Day 2 - Kathmandu

Day 2 of your Nepal Bhutan tour itinerary is reserved for sightseeing in Kathmandu. After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, start your day tour by offering homage at the Swayambhunath Stupa. Also known as Monkey Temple, this is the largest and most sacred stupa in Nepal that stands as a symbol of the cultural harmony of Nepal. You can also enjoy a panoramic view of Kathmandu from this Stupa.

Next, visit the Kumari temple which is known as the temple of the living Goddess of Nepal. The temple is a 3 storied structure with wooden carved idols of Devi Durga who is worshiped here in the name of Goddess Kumari.

Your next stop is the Kopan Monastery. This Tibetan Buddhist Monastery is located on the spectacular sight of Kopan Hills. People from across the globe visit the temple to learn about Mahayana Buddhism. It also offers a serene atmosphere and a picturesque view of Kathmandu city.

Thereafter you will visit the Hanuman Dhoka named after an ancient statue of Lord Hanuman resting at the entrance. Admire the great collection of ancient monuments that tell the story of the Nepalese history.

You can also visit Darbar Square a vibrant place spotted with Nepalese architectural wonders. After the sightseeing, return to your hotel.

Day 3 - Kathmandu – Pokhara

Today after having your breakfast, leave for Pokhara by road. Located in the foothills of the Himalayas, Pokhara is regarded as the tourist capital of Nepal. This is the viewpoint of the Annapurna mountain ranges. Get stunned at the view of the snow-clad mountain peaks and the serene beauty of nature. Visit the Phewa Lake and rejuvenate your soul amid the picturesque beauty and tranquility.

Next, visit the Peace Temple. This is an enchanting monument located on the backdrop of the charming Phewa Lake and the Annapurna mountain ranges

Your next stop is the International Mountain Museum. Admire the great collection of things related to mountaineering such as the artifacts, gears, photographs, and documents of the mountains, their inhabitants and the explorers.

Then go for a nature walk along the bank of the Begnas Lake. This freshwater lake is the second largest lake in Nepal surrounded by beautiful mountains and forests. Enjoy a boat ride on the lake along with a wonderful natural view.

Thereafter visit the Gupteshwar Mahadev temple the largest cave temple in Nepal. The 16th-century temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and offer extreme serenity and picturesque view.

In the evening, visit the Poon Hill located at an altitude of 3210 meters above the sea level and enjoy the stunning sunset view. After the sightseeing, head to your hotel.

Day 4 - Pokhara – Chitwan

Today you will leave Pokhara and head to Chitwan by road. After having breakfast take on the scenic journey and reach the wildlife paradise of Sri Lanka Chitwan. Upon arrival, check-in at the forest lodge and get ready for a wonderful excursion to the Chitwan National Park. The park possesses a diverse ecosystem where a wide variety of birds, mammals, and reptiles live in their own habitat. You can take a jungle safari in the open hood jeep for a closer view of the wildlife. Spot Royal Bengal Tigers, one-horn rhinos, leopards, sloth bears, crocodiles and much more in the park. Day 5 - Chitwan National Park

Today is reserved for exploring the Chitwan National Park. You can take an elephant ride to enjoy excellent flora and fauna in the park. Spot famous plants like Rosewood, Elephant Apple, Rhino Apple Tree, etc. in the park. Also, visit the nearby villages to meet the local people and experience their lifestyle. Day 6 - Chitwan – Kathmandu

Morning is the perfect time for the bird watching. So, get ready in the early morning and head to the park which is home to a wide species of birds. Here you can spot white-throated kingfisher, Brahmin ducks, blossom headed parakeet, goosanders, and large flocks of bar-headed geese. Some seasonal birds can also be spotted in the park. Return to the lodge and have your breakfast. Thereafter, start for Kathmandu and on arrival, check-in at the hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 7 - Kathmandu

Today morning you will visit the world-famous Pashupatinath Temple. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and there are many other small temples dedicated to Goddess Parvati, Lord Ram, Lord Ganesh, Goddess Lakshmi, etc. in the temple complex. Spend your time amid the unmatched harmony of cultural and spiritual vibe. Thereafter visit the Boudhanath Stupa one of the most sacred Tibetan Buddhist Gompa.

Day 8 - Kathmandu – Paro

Today morning you will leave Kathmandu and reach Paro by air. This is a beautiful city in Bhutan spotted with sacred placed and colorful shops. You will fly across famous peaks like the Mt. Everest, Kanchenjunga, and Makalu and this is the reason travelers from around the world travel to Nepal and Bhutan. On arrival, our tour representative will transfer you to the hotel. Complete the check-in formalities and spend the rest of the day on your own.

Day 9 - Paro

Today morning after breakfast, get ready for the Paro city tour. Start the tour by visiting the Taktsang Monastery. Also known as the Tiger's Nest Monastery, this sacred place offers stunning views of the surroundings. This architectural marvel in Paro has great religious significance.

Next, visit the Ta Dzong the national museum regarded as the pride of Paro. Admire the great collection of art pieces, animal masks, paintings, and artifacts that depict the rich culture and traditions of Bhutan.

Thereafter, head to pay the homage at the Rinpung Dzong. Here you can see many paintings depicting the life of Buddha. In the evening, it gets a wonderful look when lights are on.

In the evening visit a traditional farmhouse to witness the wonderful blend of the modern and the traditional culture of Bhutan. After the excursion, back to your hotel for dinner and night stay.

Day 10 - Paro – Punakha

Start the day by visiting the Drukgyel Dzong a memorial built-in 1649 to mark the victory of Bhutan over Tibet. Enjoy the panoramic view of the surroundings and head to Kyichu Lhakhang. This is a scenic place where you will find the absolute serenity.

Thereafter, head to Punakha by road. On your way enjoy the breathtaking view of the snow-clad mountains from Dochula Pass. On arrival, check-in at the hotel and take some rest. In the evening you can explore the local markets.

Day 11 - Punakha – Wangdue Phodrang – Thimphu

Today you will leave for Thimphu via Wangdue Phodrang. The scenic valley Wangdue Phodrang is spotted with charming villages, monasteries, and temples. Visit the Chimi Lhakhang also known as the 'Fertility Temple' to witness the traditional and cultural Bhutanese ceremonies. Next, visit the beautiful Phobjikha Valley. This is one of the most beautiful glacial valleys in the country and is a perfect getaway for nature and adventure lovers. The place is also flocked by migrated birds during the winter. Your next stop is Gangteng Monastery nestled on the top of a hill. This monastery is related to Saint Pema Lingpa who introduced Buddhism in Bhutan.

Thereafter, continue your journey to Thimphu the capital of Bhutan. On arrival, check-in at the hotel and have your dinner.

Day 12 - Thimphu

Day 12 is reserved for a sightseeing tour in Thimphu. Start the day by visiting the Tashichho Dzong on the western bank of the Wang Chu. This is a famous fortress and Buddhist monastery which now acts as the king's office. Next, head to the national library of Bhutan. Here you can see the ancient manuscripts, paintings depicting the historical events and many Bhutanese and Tibetan texts. Then, you will head to the tallest monument in Bhutan the Memorial Chorten. Here you will get an insight into Buddhism through various artwork, sculptures, and wall carvings.

Day 13 - Thimphu – Phuentsholing

Today morning after breakfast you will leave for Phuentsholing a commercial hub situated in the border of Bhutan and the Indian state of Sikkim. The place is also famous for modern architectural buildings. On arrival, check-in at the hotel and take some rest. Then visit the Zangtho Pelri Lhakhang a small temple dedicated to Guru Rinpoche. Also, visit the Kharbandi Gompa from where you can witness the panoramic view of the Phuentsholing town as well as the plains of the West Bengal. After the sightseeing, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

Day 14 - Phuentsholing – Siliguri

Today is the last day of the tour. Check-out from the hotel and head to Siliguri. On arrival, get transferred to the airport to catch a flight for your onward journey. If you have time then you can visit the famous Kali Temple. You can also visit the Hill Cart Road and Sevoke Road the shopping hub of Siliguri to buy Darjeeling Tea, wooden handicraft and woolen garments.
