Welcome to your Hornbill Festival and Kaziranga tour package! Fly to Dimapur Airport, where our company representative will pick you up and drive you to Kohima, the capital of Nagaland state. Start the day with a healthy breakfast and we will drive you to the Hornbill Festival venue. It is located around 12 km from Kohima in Kisama Village. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity where you get to enjoy local songs, dances, and performances by native tribes. Get an insight into the local culture of North East India and delight in local food. After a fun day, get back to the hotel and enjoy a good night's sleep.
Today, after a scrumptious meal, get ready for an excursion to Khonoma Village. It is known for its terrace cultivation and the abundance of rare and endangered species of mammals. Explore the village, meet the locals, and get an idea of their local lives. Afterward, return to the hotel. Spend the evening at your own leisure. Later, slide under the blankets for a comfy sleep.
The next leg of your Assam Nagaland tour starts today. Post breakfast, we will drive to Kaziranga National Park, one of the renowned national parks in the world. It is known for its one-horned rhinos along with other species of animals and birds. Upon arrival in Kaziranga, check-in to the lodge and sleep comfortably.
Get up early in the morning and embark on an elephant safari in the national park (between 5 am to 7 am). Come back to the lodge for a delicious breakfast. Afterward, enjoy traditional dance shows at Kaziranga National Orchid Biodiversity Park. Get to know about the varieties of Orchids growing in this region of India.
Post lunch, you will be taken for another jeep safari in the western/central range of Kaziranga National Park (2 pm/3 pm). Once the safari ends, you have the remaining day to yourself. So, spend however you like. Overnight stay at the lodge in Kaziranga National Park.
On Day 6 of your Hornbill with Kaziranga tour, we will drive to Guwahati in the morning. Once arrived, complete the check-in at the hotel and rest for a while.
