Itinerary - Golden Triangle Tour with Rural Experience

Day 1 - Delhi

On your arrival at the IGI International Airport, receive welcome greetings from the Tourism of India representative and get escorted to the hotel. After completing the check-in formalities, take some rest and have your lunch. The rest of the day is free to enjoy as you like.

You can take a stroll around the nearby areas. Every street and lane in Delhi has a food stall where you can enjoy a lip-smacking and spicy treat of North India. Also, there are a number of entertainment parks in Delhi to spend a few fun-filled hours playing and eating. Shopaholics can explore the markets of Connaught Place, Chandni Chowk or Sarojini Nagar for a wonderful shopping experience in Delhi. For some spiritual treat, you can visit the Lakshmi Narayan Temple or if time permits the Akshar Dham Temple.

Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2 - Delhi

Today post breakfast, you will embark on the Delhi sightseeing tour. A number of heritage sites make for the prime tourist attractions in Delhi. The places you will visit today include Red Fort, India Gate, Raj Ghat, Parliament House, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Jama Masjid, Qutub Minar, Purana Qila, Humayun's Tomb and Jantar Mantar observatory.

Red Fort - This red stone-made historical fort was the abode of the Mughal royals and now is the venue where the Prime Minister of India hoist the Tricolor on Independence Day every year.

India Gate - Previously known as King's Way, this is a war memorial built to commemorate the Indian soldiers martyred during the WWI.

Raj Ghat - This is a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi.

Parliament House - The round-shaped building is the address of the Indian Parliament.

Rashtrapati Bhavan - The official residence of the President of India is an architectural splendor located in the Raisina Hills that also houses a massive garden known as Mughal garden.

Jama Masjid - The biggest mosque in India built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan can hold 25000 people in its courtyard.

Qutub Minar - A UNESCO world heritage site containing the tallest tower in India built by Qutub-Ud-Din Aibak in 1193.

Purana Qila - A place continuously inhabited for 2,500 where you can see the remains of the pre-Mauryan period.

Humayun's Tomb - The first garden-tomb in India where the emperor Humaun lies in peace.

Jantar Mantar observatory - This is one of the five royal observatories built by Maharaja Jai Singh II housing astronomical instruments.

Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3 - Delhi to Agra

On day 3, have your breakfast and leave for Agra by road. On arrival, check-in at the hotel and take rest. Then go for sightseeing in Agra. Wonder at the majestic Taj Mahal and visit the other Mughal architectural splendors such as Agra Fort and Itmad-Ud-Daula's Tomb. In the evening, explore the exclusive items at the local markets.

Taj Mahal (Closed on Friday) - This pristine white marble monument is one of the seven wonders of the world and is admired by the travelers from around the globe. The architectural masterpiece was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal.

Agra Fort - Similar to Red Fort in Delhi, Agra Fort was the abode of Mughal royals before they shifted the capital to Delhi.

Itmad-Ud-Daula's Tomb - This structure was built by Mughal Empress Nur Jahan in the memory of her father. Due to the resemblance of its look with the Taj Mahal, this monument is also called Chota Taj.

Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4 - Agra to Suroth

Munch your delicious breakfast and check out from the hotel. Start driving to Suroth and en-route to visit the Fathepur Sikri, the abandoned Mughal city. The place is spotted with several historical edifices such as Jama Masjid, Buland Darwaza, the historical Palace of Jodha Bai, Birbal Bhavan and Panch Mahal. All are famous for architectural beauty and the great history behind them. After the exploration, continue the journey to Suroth, the ancient devotional town located at a remote corner in Rajasthan.

On arrival at Suroth, check-in at a city hotel and take some rest. Later visit the Suroth Mahal, the 200 years old palace-turned heritage hotel. Buland Darwaza - This is the world's largest gateway built by Emperor Akbar to commemorate his victory over Gujarat in 1601.

Suroth Mahal - Suroth Mahal was built 200 years ago. Day 5 - Suroth to Jaipur

Start the day with a camel cart ride in Suroth through its village pathways and see the locals busy in their daily chores. This is one of the most popular tourist activities in Suroth. Then enjoy a classical instruments demonstration show and then leave for Jaipur by road.

On arrival in Jaipur, check-in at the hotel and take some rest. In the evening, you can take a tour of the local markets in Jaipur such as Bapu Bazar, Jahori Bajar, etc. Explore exclusive fashion jewelry, traditional clothes, showpieces, etc.

Day 6 - Jaipur

Enjoy the striking beauty of Amber Fort from the back of a camel during a joy ride. Admire the architectural splendor of City Palace. Lastly, view the astronomical instruments at the Royal Observatory Jantar Mantar. If time permits, you can visit Chokhi Dhani, a cultural hub near Jaipur.

Day 7 - Jaipur to Delhi (Departure)

Today is the last day of your rural India tours. Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and get ready for the drive to Delhi. On arrival, get transferred to the airport for your onward journey.
