Itinerary - Enchanting India

Day 1 - Delhi (Arrival)

Arrival at the Delhi airport followed by assisted transfer to the airport for night stay.

Day 2 - Delhi – Agra ( Approx 4 Hrs drive )

Post breakfast, leave for Agra by road and up on your arrival check in at Hotel and get relax.

We have to save some time in the day for visiting one of the most precious marvels of India, Taj Mahal. The majestic white marble mausoleum built by Shah Jahan to house the tomb of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The tomb of Shah Jahan also finds its place in the mausoleum. Taj Mahal sits on the south bank of Yamuna River and is an honored UNESCO World Heritage Site. Catch the sunset view of this epitome of Mughal architecture which showcases the rich history of India.

Post lunch visit the Agra Fort. The great Mughal Emperor Akbar commissioned the construction of the Agra fort in 1565 A.D although additions were made till the time of his grandson Shahjahan. It stands at a distance of just 2 Kms from the majestic Taj Mahal, and is built in red sandstone.

Agra is famous for its inlay work on marble, and makes a good market for some beautiful arts and crafts which can be picked up as souvenirs and memorabilia.

Come back to Hotel for an overnight stay at Agra.

Day 3 - Agra - Delhi

Post an early morning breakfast, return back to Delhi. On reaching Delhi, check into the hotel. Embark on a full day sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi. The attractions that you will visit here include Raj Ghat, Red Fort, Qutub Minar, India Gate, National Museum,Jama Masjid,Humayuns tomb, President's House (from outside) and Chandani Chowk. The evening is free for souvenir shopping. Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 4 - Delhi - Bagdogra - Darjeeling (fly and drive)

Post an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport to board flight to Bagdogra. Upon arrival in Bagdogra, leave by road for Darjeeling. Upon arrival in Darjeeling, check in to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 5 - Darjeeling

Post breakfast in the morning, embark on a full day sightseeing tour of Darjeeling which include Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Zoological Park, Tiger Hill and the Kanchenjunga peak. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Day 6 - Darjeeling

The day 6 is entirely free for the individual activities. Dinner and overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Day 7 - Darjeeling - Bagdogra - Kolkata (by air)

Post breakfast, return back to Bagdodgra to board flight to Kolkata. Upon arrival in Kolkata, you will be transferred to the hotel. The evening is free for individual activities. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 8 - Kolkata

Post breakfast in the morning, embark on a sightseeing tour of Kolkata which include visits to Indian museum, Victoria Memorial, Shaheed Minar & Birla Planetorium. Overnight stay and dinner in Kolkata.

Day 9 - Kolkata - Mumbai (by air)

Post breakfast in the morning, you will be transferred to the airport to board flight to Mumbai. Upon arrival in Mumbai, check in at the hotel. During the rest of the day, indulge in shopping. Overnight stay in Mumbai.

Day 10 - Mumbai Sightseeing

Post Breakfast you will proceed to explore the city.

Drive past to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (formerly Victoria Terminus) an outstanding example of Victorian Gothic Revival architecture in India.

Elephanta cave is located in Gharapuri (The City of Caves), approximately ten kilometers away from Mumbai Harbor. The caves consists mainly of two groups- Hindu Caves (consisting if five caves) and Buddhist Caves (consisting of two caves).

Sri Siddhivinayak Temple is a famous Hindu Temple located at Prabhadevi in Mumbai. It is one of the richest temples in Mumbai and also one of the popular Mumbai places to visit.

The Bandra-Worli Sea Link, officially called Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link, is a cable bridge linking Bandra in the Western Suburbs of Mumbai with Worli in South Mumbai. This is one of the famous picnic spots in Mumbai.

Evening spent at Juhu Beach, the popular beach of Mumbai is thronged with visitors. Some of Mumbai’s best street food and restaurants are located here.

Come back to Hotel for an overnight Stay.

Day 11 - Mumbai – Cochin by Air

Post breakfast you will drive to Mumbai Airport to take a flight to Kochi and check in at Hotel. Evening you may enjoy Kathkali Dance Show which can arrange at additional cost. Overnight Stay at Kochi.

Day 12 - Cochin Sightseeing Tour

You will explore the Cochin Sightseeing after post Breakfast

Visit the Mattancherry Dutch Palace (closed on Fridays and public holidays)-It is a Portuguese palace popularly known as the Dutch Palace, in Mattancherry, which was built by the Portuguese. Next destination would be the Jewish Synagogue (closed on all Saturdays and Jewish holidays) in Jew Town and Fort Cochin Area. Amongst the 7 synagogues located in his area, this Jewish synagogue is the only one which is in operation today. There are a couple of streets of picture-postcard houses out of another age.

Visit St. Francis Church - (closed on Sundays from 08.00 to 11.00 hrs) the oldest European Church in India. It has several antiquities including a wealth of records. See the Chinese Fishing Nets, along the tip of Fort Cochin unique to this part of Kerala and living symbols of a centuries-old Chinese influence on this coast. Fishermen even today use these elaborate conventional fishing nets, making it the only other destination other than China to have and use these fishing nets.

Now Drive back to Hotel for an Overnight Stay.

Day 13 - Private Backwater Cruise

Post breakfast in the morning, leave by road for Kumarakom. On reaching Kumarakom, board the private houseboat and sail through the beautiful backwaters of Kerala. Enjoy every bit of amazing backwater cruise with lunch. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 14 - Departure

In the morning, after having breakfast, disembark the boat at Alleppy and get transferred to Cochin to board flight back home.
