Itinerary - 7 Days Meghalaya Cycling Tour

Day 1 - Arrival in Guwahati

Once you land at Guwahati Airport, you will be received by the Tourism of India's representative. Transfer to your stay in Guwahati and check-in. After freshening up, you will be briefed about the Meghalaya bike tour.

Afterward, you can either sit back and relax at the hotel or go out to explore the city of Guwahati on your own. Overnight stay in Guwahati.

Day 2 - Guwahati - Umsning

After breakfast, start to gear up for the cycling tour from Guwahati to Umsning. Go for a warm-up bike ride 25 km. Drive to Jorabat from where the official Meghyala cycling tour will start.

Have lunch and after that, cycle for 20 km along the winding roads and witness the beauty. Drive to the camping site and rest. Overnight stay in Umsning.

Day 3 - Umsning - Cherrapunji

On day 3, wake up and have breakfast. Leave the campsite and visit the Air Force Museum. On the way, stop at man-made Umiam Lake. From here, start cycling to Cherrapunji covering a total of 42 km. In the evening, you will stay and relax. Enjoy the bonfire and hop onto the bed for a relaxing sleep after early dinner.

Day 4 - Cherrapunji

Start the day with a scrumptious meal. Today, the day is reserved for exploring Cherrapunji. Gear up and ride the cycle to waterfalls and return to the campsite for lunch. Later, proceed to visit famous tourist places in Cherrapunji like Nohkalikai Falls, Double Decker Living Root Bridge, and Mawsynram Village.

Get back to the campsite till evening and enjoy a bonfire and local band's performance. Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.

Day 5 - Cherrapunji

Have an early morning breakfast and visit the point from where the trek for Double Decker Root Bridge starts. It is located in Tyrna Village and to reach here, cover a total of 3000 steps. Once you reach, relax and explore the natural surroundings. Enjoy the hospitality of the local household and savor lunch. Post tour, come back to the campsite to spend a comfortable night.

Day 6 - Cherrapunji - Shillong

Begin the Meghalaya cycling tour with a hearty breakfast. Say goodbye to the campsite and visit Sky Viewpoint by cycle. Then, ride towards Laitlum Canyon (30 km). Have lunch and go back to Shillong. Check in the stay and spend a comfy night.

Day 7 - Departure from Guwahati

After the morning meal, you will be driven back to Guwahati (3 hours). Transfer to Guwahati Airport for your flight to onward destination with a memorable time in North East India.
