Overview

The Best of North India tour is all about majestic monuments, forts, palaces, temples and holy ghats. The tour commences from the metropolitan and capital city of India, New Delhi.

While in Delhi we visit its popular monuments, centers of great historic importance. Moving further, visit Jaipur and Agra and admire the beauty of royal palaces and majestic forts for their intricate design and architecture.

In the later leg of the journey, we visit Khajuraho for the Chandela dynasty temples, known worldwide for their spectacular erotic sculptures and carvings.

Itinerary - Best of North India

Day 1 - Delhi

After arrival at Delhi Airport, meet our representative who'll escort you to the one of our listed hotels in Delhi. Check-in at the hotel to relax in the cozy comfort of its room. In the evening you may venture out to explore the pulsating nightlife of Delhi. Stay the night at the hotel.

Day 2 - Delhi

On the 2nd day of the tour, embark on a city tour of Delhi. The major tourist attractions scheduled for the day are Birla Mandir, Qutab Minar, Red Fort, India Gate, the Jama Masjid, Humanyun Tomb, and President's House. In the evening revisit red fort.

Enjoy a comfortable night stay at the hotel.

Day 3 - Delhi – Jaipur

Post breakfast, drive straight to Jaipur. Upon arrival, check-in at one our enlisted hotels. After straightening your backs, proceed to visit the City Palace. The palace spans across the sprawling gardens and bounds beautiful courtyards exemplifying the Mughal and Rajasthani architecture to the fullest. Later in the day explore some other major tourist attractions of Jaipur including the Jal Mahal, Jaigarh Fort, Central Museum, Royal Observatory and Hawa Mahal. Evening to be spent as to your liking. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4 - Jaipur

The next day begins with an excursion to the Amber Fort which is accompanied with the exciting joy ride on an elephant. Later visit Jaigarh Fort, Birla Mandir, Galtaji Temple, afternoon visit the local market can enjoy the shopping. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5 - Jaipur – Agra

Post breakfast, leave for Agra by road. Stop midway to visit Fathepur Sikri and explore places like Salim Chisti's Tomb, Jama Masjid, Panch Mahal etc. Continue to Agra, on arrival transfer to the hotel. Get relax. Overnight stay.

Day 6 - Agra

Early morning visit the Taj Mahal, the seventh wonder of the world and admire for its majestic and magnificent architecture design. This alluring white marble monument with intricate designs in its interiors never fails to enchant a visitor. Another must watch architectural wonder, is the Agra Fort that is frequented by hundreds of visitors every day. Later visit the Pearl Mosque and the tomb of Itamad-ud-Daula built by Empress Noorjehan in memory of her father. In the evening return to the hotel for an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7 - Agra – Jhansi – Khajuraho

Next morning, transfer to Agra railway station to board a train to Jhansi. Upon reaching Jhansi, visit the Jhansi Fort and The Government Museum. The museum showcases the Weapons, statues and dresses that were used during the Chandela dynasty. It also features a picture gallery of the Gupta period. After visiting Jhansi, leave for Khajuraho. As you reach Khajuraho, check-in at one of our listed hotels for an overnight stay.

Day 8 - Khajuraho

In the morning after breakfast, embark on a guided tour of Khajuraho. Start with the visit to group of famous Chandela dynasty temples. These temples are worldwide known for their spectacular erotic sculptures and carvings depicted in them. The Western Group of temples that are dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu includes the Kandariya Mahadeva temple, the Matangeshwar temple, the Lakshmana temple, and the Varaha temple. Spend overnight at the hotel.

Day 9 - Khajuraho – Varanasi

In the morning after breakfast, transfer to airport to board a flight to Varanasi. On arrival, check-in at one of our listed hotels. In the afternoon take an excursion to Sarnath, the buried Buddhist city. Stay the night at the hotel.

Day 10 - Varanasi

Next morning enjoy the boat ride in the holy river Ganges during the visit to the bathing ghats. Later in the day pay a visit to the ancient Stupa, the Buddhist temple and the Museum. After lunch, set off to enjoy a city tour of Varanasi covering Bharat Mata Temple, Tulsi Manas Temple and the Alamgir temple. In the evening you have the option of exploring the Banaras Hindu University for visiting the Art Gallery and the Mosque of Mughal Emperor Aurangazeb. Enjoy a comfortable night at the hotel.

Day 11 - Varanasi – Delhi

In the morning, transfer to Varanasi airport, to board a flight to Delhi. On arrival, check-in at one of our listed hotels. Rest and relax for the day. In the evening you have the option to explore a hyperactive night life of Delhi. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 12 - Delhi

In the morning, transfer to the Delhi airport to board a flight for your onward journey.
