Itinerary - Assam with Arunachal Pradesh Tour

Day 1 - Guwahati - Kaziranga

After arrival at Guwahati airport/railway station, our representative will greet and transfer you to Kaziranga National Park (approx. 193 km). Known for its one-horned rhinoceros, it is a World Heritage Site. Rest for a while and later, proceed for a bonfire. Enjoy your evening sitting with a group of fellow travelers and watching dancers and musicians' energetic performance of Bihu. Afterward, come back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2 - Exploration of Kaziranga National Park

Today you will wake up early to enjoy a jeep safari at Kaziranga. Witness the species of animals and birds including Golden Langur, Wild Boar, Wild Water Buffalo, Pallas Fish Eagle, and more. As Assam is the largest growing region of tea in the world, post breakfast, you will have a plantation tour of the tea estate. Day 3 - Kaziranga to Dirang

A small town, Dirang is known for its snow-clad peaks, gushing streams, and lush greenery. Day 4 - Dirang - Tawang

Post scrumptious breakfast, check out, and proceed to the Dirang tour. It is known for its hot spring water so you can walk down to it, dip your legs, and have a relaxing time. These hot springs have medicinal values.

Next, drive to Mandla Phudung, which is the base camp for trekking. After spending time here, set out for a 4 hours drive from Dirang to Tawang. It is one of the top places to visit in Arunachal Pradesh and is famous for its Tawang Monastery.

En route, stop by Sela Lake at Sela Pass, located at 4170 m feet, and Jaswant Garh, a famous historic landmark. Once reached Tawang, check in at the hotel and enjoy a comfortable sleep.

Day 5 - Tawang

Start your day early with breakfast and then, proceed to explore Tawang. Make your way to Pangang Teng Tso Lake, which offers enchanting views. Afterward, spend time at Bumla Pass, located at 4633 m above sea level. End the tour with a visit to Sangetsar Lake, which was formed after the 1950 earthquake. Afterward, return to the hotel for dinner and slide under the sheets for a restful sleep.

Day 6 - Tawang

Day 8 - Bomdilla – Balipara

Arise for a fulfilling breakfast, check out and enjoy a drive from Bomdila to Balipara (around 4 hours). On your way, stop at Bomdila Monastery. It represents the spiritual essence of Buddhism and resembles the Tsona Gontse Monastery of South Tibet. Afterward, continue your drive, and once reached, check in to the hotel and rest.

Day 9 - Balipara - Guwahati
