Itinerary - Darjeeling Kalimpong Tour

Day 1 - Darjeeling: Arrival and Leisure Day

When you reach New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (70 km)/ Bagdogra Airport (65 km)/ Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand (62 km), our representative will greet and assist you to Darjeeling. On arrival, complete check-in formalities at the hotel and relax. Evening is at your leisure. You can explore the surroundings or visit a mall to buy souvenirs.

Later, return to the hotel for a restful sleep.

Day 2 - Darjeeling: Early Morning and Half Day Sightseeing

Greet the early morning sun and proceed to Tiger Hill for a stunning sunset. The hill overlooks Kanchenjunga Peak and offers you not only a surreal sunset but also panoramic views around. Although, catching the sunset view is subject to clear weather. After watching sunset, you return to Darjeeling. En route, explore attractions such as Ghoom Monastery, War Memorial and Batasia Loop.

Ghoom Monastery is one of the most sought after attractions of Darjeeling. It is believed to be among the oldest Gompas in this hill town. Almost 8 km from Darjeeling, the monastery is also known as Yogachoeling Gompa and houses several bells, ornate thanka scrolls, and drums.

From here, move to War Memorial and Batasia Loop. Take a ride in the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway that takes you through Batasia Loop. The War Memorial was built in the memory of martyrs of wars after India’s freedom. It stands in proximity to Batasia Loop.

Once you are done with sightseeing, return to the hotel and have a healthy breakfast. Now, give some rest to your weary self before starting for a half day sightseeing across the attractions of Darjeeling. Start with Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park and Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. Day 3 - Darjeeling: A Day Trip to Mirik

Kick start your day with a wholesome breakfast and leave for a day trip to Mirik. Situated just 62 km from Darjeeling, Mirik is a gorgeous creation of nature that rests amidst the lovely hills of Darjeeling. The small hamlet is known for its tranquil beauty. Capture the beauty of this place on your camera lens.

Sumendu Lake is the highlight of the Mirik day trip. It has a gorgeous garden on one side and on the other, thick pine trees are densely dotted. Have a great time here, admiring the orange orchards, Himalayan scenery, tea estates, and cardamom groves. Take a horse ride around the lake and enjoy boating as well. Later, buy souvenirs from Pashupati Nagar Market, which is famous for goods from Thailand.
