Itinerary - 3 Days tour to Panchgani

Day 1 - Pune/ Mumbai – Panchgani

After arrival at Mumbai airport/railway station, our representative will greet you and transfer you to Panchgani. Located in the Satara District in Maharashtra, Panchgani is a beautiful hill station and is perfect for a short trip from Mumbai. It comprises five villages situated in the middle of five hills in the Sahyadri mountain ranges and that is why it is named ‘Panchgani’

On arrival, complete the check-in formalities and spend overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 - Panchgani

Wake up on day 2 of your 3 days tour to Panchgani to a hearty meal and get ready for a sightseeing tour. Start by visiting Rajpuri Caves. These ancient caves hold religious importance as it is believed they were used for religious rituals by Lord Kartikeya. Not only this but it is only believed to have provided shelter to the Pandavas from the epic Mahabharata. This has lured many devotees to take a bath in the holy Ganges that flow through these kinds and cure all kinds of diseases and evils.

Next, we visited Kamalgad fort located at an altitude of 4,522 feet. Here, enjoy the aerial view of Dhom backwaters, dense woods, and the lush green vegetation. Afterwards, head to Hunter Point to witness the views of the Koyna Valley and the Surrounding Sahyadri mountain ranges from 1,290 m.

Head to Sydney Point next, which is famous for its beautiful views of the Krishna Valley, Kamalgad Fort, Dhoom Dam, and the city of Wai. This was named after Sir Sydney Beckwith, who was Commander in Chief and a senior member of the council.

Last on the Panchgani tour is Dhoom Dam. It is located approx. 21 km away from the town. You will enjoy boating and other water activities. Scooter boats and speed boats can be hired from near the dam. The dam was constructed in 1976 and till today, serves the industries and residential quarters in Wai, Panchgani, Mahabaleshwar, and surrounding villages.

For supplying water for agriculture and industries, the dam was constructed in 1982. Construction of the dam commenced in 1976. After the tour is complete, enjoy the evening at leisure. Return to the hotel and spend a comfortable night.

Day 3 - Panchgani – Pune/Mumbai

Your short trip to Panchgani from Mumbai/Pune ends today. So, after breakfast, get transferred to Pune airport/railway station for a flight back home with unforgettable memories.
