Palace on Wheels - Day 01
You board the Palace on Wheels at 1745 hours and spend the night on board this luxury train. Dinner is served to you during this trip. The Palace on Wheels is a tourist luxury train that is managed by the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation. Palace on Wheels - Day 02
On the 2nd day of your tour the Palace on Wheels arrives
at the Jaipur railway station at 0000 hours. The Rajasthan tourism department arranges for ornately decorated elephants to give you a royal welcome at the Jaipur railway station. Strains of shehnai infuse a new life into you after your train journey. You are made to feel special and your tour of the Pink City begins. Your tour of Jaipur begins after you lunch in complete luxury at the Rambagh Palace heritage hotel. You visit the Hawa Mahal, Amber fort and the Nahargarh fort. Your departure from Jaipur is scheduled at 1730 hours.
Palace on Wheels - Day 03
The Palace on Wheels arrives at Jaisalmer at 0615 hours. Once you have arrived at Jaisalmer your India tourist and tour guide arranges for you to go on a sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, India. The history of Jaisalmer can be traced back to the 12th century. Jaisalmer is known for its great Sandstone castle that has 99 bastions. You also have the option on going on a daylong desert camping trip. You come back to the main Jaisalmer city at night and dine at the hotel. Palace on Wheels - Day 04
On the 4th day of your tour you arrive at Jodhpur at 0800 hours. Once you reach the Rajasthani city of Jodhpur, your India tourist and tour guide arranges for you, under the auspices of the state tourism department, to visit the most important tourist destinations in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. You visit the Mehrangarh fort and the Jaswant Thada, besides tours to other places of tourist interests in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. In the afternoon your India tour and tourist guide arranges for you to have lunch at the Umaid Bhawan heritage hotel. The departure of the Palace on Wheels from Jodhpur is scheduled at 1530 hours. Thus you leave the royal city of Jodhpur.
Palace on Wheels - Day 05
The Palace on Wheels arrives at the Sawai Madhopur railway station at 0400 hours. Once you have reached Sawai Madhopur your India tourist and tour guide arranges for you to drive to Ranthambore. Once in Ranthambore you visit the Ranthambore National Park that is a project Tiger Reserve. Your tour guide takes you on a tour to the Ranthambore Fort. You leave Ranthambore at 1100 hours.

You visit the Chittaurgarh fort that is located on the top of a hill. Palace on Wheels - Day 07
You arrive at Bharatpur at 0600 hours on the 7th day of your 'Palace on Wheels tour'. On your arrival at the railway station your India tourist and tour guide organizes a tour of the Keoladeo National Park that is popularly known as the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. This sanctuary has earned the distinction of being categorized as a world heritage site. The Bharatpur bird sanctuary is home to about 400 different species of birds. After your tour of the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary you drive to Agra, enroute you visit the deserted town of Fatehpur Sikri. You board the Palace on Wheels and leave for Delhi at 2300 hours.
Palace on Wheels - Day 08
You are served breakfast on board the train. The Palace on Wheels arrives at the Delhi Cantonment railway station at 0600 hours.
The Palace on Wheels leaves for its luxury tour every Wednesday night from the Delhi Cantonment railway station from September to April.
