Itinerary - Ayurveda Break in Kerala

Day 1 Cochin

On reaching Cochin, meet our TOI representative who assists you while you take a transfer to the hotel.

Located along the Arabian Sea, Cochin is the second largest city of Kerala. Cochin is one of the most popular destinations of Kerala, which is why it is also referred to as the 'Gateway to Kerala'. Major attractions of the city like the Mattancherry Dutch Palace, Cherai Beach, Fort Kochi, Indo-Portuguese Museum and Bolghatty Palace allure tourists from all over the world. Cochin is well-known for its Ayurvediccenters where tourists can indulge in different Ayurvedic treatments.

Day 2 Cochin

Today morning after a relax breakfast leave for a sightseeing tour of Cochin City. Begin with visiting the historical monuments of Cochin like Mattancherry Dutch Palace, the Jewish Synagogue, the Santa Cruz Cathedral, the Bolgatty Palace, and Willingdon Island. All these attractions are known to feature spectacular architecture and counted among architectural marvels of the country. Later, go for enjoying the traditional Kathakali Dance. In the evening, go for a stroll at the Cochin Beach and experience a sunset like never before.

Day 9 - Kumarakom - Munnar

It is time to head to the next destination, Munnar which is a beautiful hill station in Idukki district. During the colonial days, Munnar was one of the most favored summer resorts by the British rulers. Munnar is well-known as the tea growing district of Kerala. The natural beauty of the place is truly unmatched and it offers breathtaking views to all the tourists. Beautiful view points, cascading waterfalls, serene lakes and lush green fields form the main highlights of Munnar..

Day 10 - Munnar

Today morning after breakfast go for a sightseeing tour and explore its beautiful attractions.

Visit Attukal Waterfalls, Photo Point, Lakkam Waterfalls, Kolukkunmalai Tea Estate, Mattupetty Dam and Tata Tea Museum. All these attractions are set at picture perfect locations and add to the visiting experience. You have an option of visiting Eravikulam National Park and Kollukumalai Tea estate.

Spread over an area of around 97 sq. km, Eravikulam National Park is home to a number of endangered species of wild goat which are known as NilgiriTahr. Apart from NilgiriTahr, the park is home to species like Sambar Deer, Stripe-necked mongoose, Nilgiri langur, leopard, Wild dog and Golden Jackal.

The park houses a wide variety of bird species which include many rare ones like Yellow-throated Martin, Nilgiri Wood Pigeon, Black-and-orange Flycatcher, and Kerala Laughing thrush. Anaimudi (2695 m), the highest peak in south India is located within the park.

Kollukumalai Tea estate is one of the highest tea growing estates in the world. The estate is well-known for producing the best quality tea in the world. The estate is surrounded by beautiful valleys which add to its beauty and make it more alluring.

Day 11 - Munnar - Cochin Departure

This morning, you leave back for Cochin. On reaching Cochin, you can go for shopping or a leisure walk around the place. Later, take a transfer to the Airport. The tour ends here.
