The 5 nights and 6 day journey, beginning from Delhi/Kolkata, will cover destinations such as Guwahati, Shillong and Cherapunjee. The journey will also include a visit to the Umaim Lake.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Guwahati Arrival

Upon arrival at Guwahati, meet our IHPL representative who'll assist you in smooth transfer to the hotel. Check in at the hotel and after some relax proceed to enjoy local sightseeing of the city.

Kamakhya Temple : Kamakhya devi temple is situated on the Nilachal parvat in Guwahati. It is one of the 51 Shakti Pithas of India and an important pilgrimage destination especially for Tantric worshippers.

Srimanta Shankardeva Kalakshetra :It is the largest repository of Northeast India’s culture. Built in the 1990s, the artistic excellence of Assam and rest of the north-eastern region is displayed here. It includes a cultural museum, library and various facilities for preserving, demonstrating and performing cultural items, besides a children's park.

Assam State Museum:( Closed on Every Monday ) Established in 1957 the Assam State Zoo is located in the Hengrabari Reserve Forest inside the city. The zoo occupies an area of 175 hectares which includes the botanical garden spread across an area of 82 hectares. The zoo comprises of total 112 species of varied flora and fauna species. Flora includes many orchid varieties and fauna includes the Great one horned Rhino, Bengal tiger, White Tiger, Asiatique Lion, Hippopotamus, Himalayan black bear, Hoolock Gibbons among many other exotic animals.

Now Come back to Hotel for an overnight stay at Guwahati.

Day 2 - Guwahati - Shillong

Post breakfast in the morning, take a road journey to Shillong. In the afternoon, explore the Bara Baazar and Police Bazaar. Stay overnight at the hotel in Shillong.

Day 3 - Shillong

The day 3 is scheduled with a full day sightseeing tour in and around Shillong. Explore Sale Emporium, Wards Lake, Museum and Archery Competition etc. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 4 - Shillong - Cherapunjee - Shillong

Post breakfast in the morning, take a road journey from Shillong to Cherapunjee, the heaviest rainfall destination in the world. On the way, visit Mawswami Cave, Nohkalikal Fall, Elephant Fall and View of Bangladesh. Later, return back to Shillong for overnight stay.

Day 5 - Shillong - Umaim Lake - Guwahati

Post breakfast in the morning, leave by road to Umaim Lake. Thereafter, have lunch and hit the road to Guwahati. Stay overnight in the hotel at Guwahati.

Day 6 - Guwahati - Delhi- Kolkata

Post breakfast in the morning, proceed towards the airport to board flight to Delhi/Kolkata.
