The best time to visit Mawlynnong falls is during the summers/monsoons (June -September) when the volume of the water in the falls is maximum. Other attractions around the falls include the famous 85 m high sky-watch, climbing up which offers the stunning views of the plains of Bangladesh as well as The Live Root Bridge, which is a major captivation.

Located about 90 kilometers from Shillong and 92 kilometers from Cherrapunjee, Mawlynnong is well-connected to these towns through road. The nearest airport is located at Shillong from where you can hire a taxi from Khasi Hill Sumo Stand at Bara Bazar Market while the most nearby railway station is Guwahati. Visiting this seemingly hidden tourist spot is like unearthing a secret treasure, loaded full of wonders and natural marvels.
