A popular Buddhist religious centers in the region, Gadhan Thekchhokling Gompa is one of the most famous attractions in Manali. Though the monastery is slightly small in size, but exudes high spiritual energy. The monastery as constructed in the year 1960 by Tibetan refugees. The yellow-colored pagoda-style roof compliments the royal façade very well, making the structure look wonderful. There is a huge image of Lord Buddha inside the monastery. Visitors can also see a number of attractive murals, depicting the non-violent philosophy of Lord Buddha.

Gadhan Thekchhokling Monastery complex has a number of small shops selling Tibetan handicrafts and carpets. Money collected from sale and donations are used for doing routine activities of the place. The names of people killed at the time of Tibetan occupation can also be seen in the monastery.
