Arise to a wholesome breakfast, get ready, and proceed towards Sham Valley. This place is a trekker’s utopia and is among the most beautiful places in Ladakh. The villages in Sham Valley will give you an insight into the culture and traditions of the Ladakhi people. First, stop at Likir Monastery to visit the massive statue of Maitreya Buddha. Next, visit Alchi Monastery to witness the 1000-year-old murals which are considered among the best Buddhist miniature paintings.

Other places of interest in Leh are the Hall of Fame, a war memorial, and Magnetic Hill, which goes against the laws of gravity. After the excursion is over, return to Leh hotel for dinner and a comfortable night stay.

On day 3 of your Ladakh Himachal tour, savor a delicious breakfast, check-out from the hotel, and drive towards Nubra Valley. On your way to Nubra Valley from Leh, pass through one of the highest passes in Ladakh, Khardung La Pass, which is situated at 5,359 m above sea level.

Visit Sumur Village located in the Nubra Valley. You can visit Samstemling Gompa, which is popular for an idol of Shakyamuni. This place also offers exceptional experiences. After a hearty meal at the hotel complete the check-out formalities and head for a sightseeing tour of the day. Visit Diskit Monastery, which houses the tallest Maitreya Buddha of Ladakh. From the top of the monastery, you can get a breathtaking view of the valley. For extra fun, try a camel safari on the back of the double-humped Bactrian Camel found in the Ladakh region.
