The Arrival - Day 01
On the day, you arrive in Delhi, you will meet our representative and you will be taken to a very comfortable hotel for your over-night stay.
Delhi - Day 02
Your Tour package will begin with a tour of Delhi.
You will get to see the India Gate, The President's House, Humayun's Tomb, Qutub Minar and Laxmi Narayan Temple. The India Gate that you would visit on the city tour, was designed by Sir Edward Lutyens and is a memorial to the 70,000 Indian soldiers who were killed in the World War I. The Laxmi Narayan Temple which also features on the tour, was built by B.D.Birla , which is why it is also known as the 'Birla temple'. It is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Laxmi. It is definitely worth a closer look. The Humayun's tomb which you will visit, was constructed (1562-1572) under the supervision of Humayun's wife, Hamida Begum, and is the first Indian building to use the Persian double dome. The tour will also entail a visit to the Old Delhi, where you will get to see Jama Masjid, the biggest mosque in Asia and the Red Fort, both built by Shah Jahan and are beautiful specimens of Mughal architecture. Thereafter, you can visit the Gandhi memorial and pay your respect to Mahatma Gandhi, the 'father of the nation' and in the late evening watch the light and sound show at Red Fort.
Delhi-Agra-Delhi - Delhi 03
The next destination on the tour package is Agra. In Agra you will meet a guide/representative of the tour operator and be taken on a city tour. You will visit Taj Mahal, Red Fort, Imam-Ud-Daula's Tomb and Fatehpur Sikri. Taj Mahal, as we all know is one of the most loved and known monuments of the world. It was built by Shahjahan for his beloved Mumtaz. The Imam-Ud-Daula's Tomb, which you will also tour, was built by Noor Jahan, his daughter and Fatehpur Sikri was built by Akbar and is still well preserved. After the tour you will be taken to the railway station to board the train back to Delhi, where you will stay overnight at the hotel.
Delhi-Kathmandu - Day 04
You will be accompanied to the Airport, for your flight to Kathmandu, Nepal. On arriving there, you will meet a guide/representative who will escort you to a hotel. You can relax at the hotel or explore the city, depending on what you wish to do.
Kathmandu - Day 05
On the 5th day, you will get to see the Patan City. The City is also known as 'Lalitpur' or the 'city of fine Art'. There is a durbar square in Patan, which is now a world heritage site. There are also other wonderful places such as the Bhimsen temple, Krishna Mandi, among many other impressive temples that you can visit on your sightseeing tour. After this excursion, you will be escorted back to your hotel.
Kathmandu - Day 06
This day you will take a tour to Bhaktapur, Pahupatinath and Boudhnath. Bhaktapur has a 3-tiered temple of Bhairab and 5 storied temples dedicated to the Goddess of Light and Space. It is possibly the best-preserved city in the valley and definitely worth a closer look. Pashupatinath is a very important temple for Hindus and it enshrines Lord Shiva-as the Lord of all creatures. The tour package always includes a tour of this temple since it attracts tourists from the entire subcontinent and is a 'must' on most people's tour list. As for Boudhnath, it is merely 8 km from Kathmandu and is possibly one of the biggest Stupas in the world. It was built by King Manadeva on the advice of Goddess Mani Jogini. After your whole day tour, you will be escorted back to your hotel.
Kathmandu-Gorkha - Day 07
This day your tour guide will take you to Gorkha. After arrival, you will be checked into a hotel where you will stay overnight.
Gorkha -Pokhara - Day 08
On this day you will get to explore Gorkha. It is the birthplace of King Prithvi Narayan Shah, who was the founder of the Modern Nepal. You can visit the palace known as the Gorkha Durbar and the two beautiful temples, which are in the palace. One of Gopinath and the other dedicated to kali. After this you will leave for Pokhara and be taken to you hotel in Pokhara, where you will stay overnight.
Pokhara - Day 09
At Dawn or early morning, you will enjoy an hour boat ride on Lake Phewa and thereafter visit the temple, which is situated in the middle of the river. After your breakfast, you can hike up to Sarangkot, after which you will be taken back to Pokhra, where you will be escorted back to your Hotel.
Pokhara-Tansen-Chitwan - Day 10
In the morning you will leave for Chitwan and visit Tansen along the way. Tansen has many places one can tour, such as the Tansen Bazaar, the Palpa Ranighat and Tansen Durbar. Afterwards, you will continue towards Chitwan, where upon arrival you will be escorted to a Nature Resort. The afternoon will be spent exploring the Jungle. The Chitwan National Park is perfect for it gives people a chance to see the animals in their natural habitat. In the evening, you will be again taken back to the nature resort.
Chitwan - Day 11
The whole day will be spent in exploring the Nature Reserve. At night you will be escorted back to the Resort.
Chitwan-Kathmandu - Day 12
Your tour guide will take you back to Kathmandu, where you will again be taken to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Kathmandu-Lhasa-- Tsedang - Day 13
In the morning, you will be taken to the airport for your flight to Lhasa. Thereupon you will be taken to Tsedang where you will stay for the night at a hotel.
Tsedang - Day 14
This day will begin with a sightseeing tour of the city, including a tour of Samye Monastery and Yumbula Kang. There is an interesting story behind the Samye Monastery's name. Samya means "unimaginable' in Tibetan. It was said that when Tritsong Detsen (under whose supervision the monastery was built), asked advice on the construction of the monastery, then Padmasambhya, using his magical powers, showed him the image/ reflection of a monastery in his palm. This is how it supposedly received its name. The other one, Yumbu Lakang is said to be the first palace and one of the earliest buildings in Tibet. It is located on small hilltop east of Yarlong River and was supposedly built by Bon followers in the 2nd century. After the tour to these sites, you will be escorted back to your hotel.
Tsedang-Gyangtse - Day 15
Your tour guide will take you back to Gyangtse, where you can explore the area in the afternoon. Thereafter you come back to the hotel for the night.
Gyangtse-Shigatse - Day 16
Early morning there will be a drive to Shigatse. After reaching, you will be escorted back to the hotel. The afternoon will be spent on a sightseeing tour of the city. Overnight stay will again be at the hotel.
Shigatse-Lhasa - Day 17
On the day 17, the tour group will be taken back to Lhasa where the night will be spent in a hotel.
Lhasa - Day 18
This day you will tour the Drepung Monastery. It was founded in 1416 and lies 8km west of Lhasa. The name Drepung means 'Rich Heap' in Tibetan. The next visit will be to the Sera Monastery, which is one of the three largest monasteries of Gelupa. The name Sera means 'Wild rose Garden' in Tibetan. Your Tour package also includes a tour of the Potala palace, which is composed of the White Palace and the Red palace. It was the religious and political center of old Tibet and is a main attraction of Lhasa. After such extensive touring, the group will be escorted back to the hotel.
Lhasa - Day 19
This day you will get to tour the Barkhor Street. It is a circular street and is possibly the oldest street in Lhasa. The Next tour will be to the Jokhang Temple. It is the spiritual center of Tibet and pilgrims come to visit this site from all over Tibet. Your tour guide will also take you to Norbulingka (The summer palace). The name means 'Treasure park' and it was built in the 18th century. After a tour to all these places, your tour guide will escort you back to the hotel.
Lhasa-Kathmandu-Delhi - Day 20
In the morning, the tour group will leave for the airport, where it will catch a flight for Kathmandu. After that, another flight from Kathmandu will take you to Delhi, There you will be escorted to a pre-booked hotel to freshen up and have dinner. Thereafter you will depart for home with wonderful memories of the Nepal and Tibet tour.
