01 Day: Arrive Aurangabad
Transfer to the hotel after you get down at the airport in Aurangabad. Embark on half day tours to the points of interest in Aurangabad. Aurangabad is an ancient city and is famous for its rich heritage. The place is home to plenty of Hindu and Buddhist sites. Spend some time in leisure and make trips to the Daulatabad Fort. It was known as the Deogiri fortress in the ancient period and was a Hindu Fort. The fortress was captured by the Muslims. Make trips to Panchakki, which is an engineering marvel built by Malik Ambar. It dates back to the 1695 AD. Stay at Aurangabad.
02 Day: Aurangabad – Ellora
Embark on sightseeing trips to the famous Ellora Caves. They rank among the World Heritage Sites by the UNESCO. They date back to the period from 600 to 1000 AD. They consist of Hindu, Jain and Buddhist temples. Witness the beautiful carvings and sculptures. Towards the afternoon, come back to Aurangabad and visit the lovely Bibi ka Maqbara. It was built by Azam Shah in the year 1678 in memory of his loving mother, the Queen of Emperor Aurangzeb. The monument looks similar to the Taj Mahal. Overnight stay at Aurangabad.
03 Day: Aurangabad - Ajanta – Aurangabad
Early in the morning, have breakfast and go for excursion trips to the Ajanta Caves. They are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and are located in the midst of the Sahyadri hills. The caves consist of beautiful paintings and carvings which date back to the Buddhist period. They depict the stories from the Jataka and the sermons of Lord Buddha. In the inner mountains and caves, there are monastery caves and prayer halls known as chaitya vihara. The paintings are made with herbal colors and vegetable dyes. Overnight stay at Aurangabad.
04 Day: Departure
Reach the airport after breakfast and catch the flight for the forward trip.
