Resort Summer Sands

Introduction

Resort Summer Sands is located in Ullal, Mangalore and is at a distance of about 10 km from the center of the city. Mangalore is well connected by railways because the Konkan railway is fully operational. The nearest airport is Bajpe airport which is about 30 km from Resort Summer Sands.

It is spread over an area of 15 acres filled with coconut trees and casuarinas groves. This spacious green stretch has 1000 running feet of beach and you can even get to see dolphins. About 500 palm trees are there within its campus that is also home to about 60 kinds of birds. Listen to the sweet humming of the birds and view the greenery of Nature. There is a fresh water swimming pool amidst the shadow of the palm trees. Little ponds filled with colorful fishes are also there in this large expanse of greenery.

Accommodation

There are a total of 42 tiled villas in Resort Summer Sands. Each villa either has 2 or 3 bedrooms. There are a total of 40 air conditioned, 40 non air conditioned rooms and 5 economy rooms. All the rooms have a cable T.V. connection.

Special cottages have been designed for the physically challenged. Disabled friendly wheelchairs are also available.

Dining

Enjoy delicious food at the almost open air restaurants. You will be served tasty Konkan cuisine which is spicy in summer and subtle in the summers.

The Summer Place is the beach side multi cuisine restaurant that serves delicious Indian, Chinese and Continental food. There is an ethnic casual eatery by the name of The Courtyard which serves food for private dinners or for parties.

Other Facilities

There is a conference hall which can accommodate about 120 people. Apart from that there is a multi-purpose hall where about 300 people can gather for parties, banquets and other reasons.

The Dolphin Bay Club situated within the Summer Sands Resort provides you with facilities to play Billiards/ Snooker, Table Tennis, Cards, Caroms, Darts. There is a jogging track too. The Golf Course is just a 30 minute drive from this place.

There is a fun pool for small children and provision is there by the pool side to serve snacks and beverages. A park is also there for them.

You can even relax by getting an ayurvedic message or through meditation and yoga. Laundry and dry cleaning facilities are also provided. Safe deposits Locker's are also there at reception where you can safely keep all your valuables.

A travel desk will also provide you with all the necessary information. Services are provided so that you can reserve all your air, train and bus tickets and confirm all your flights from here itself.

There is a doctor on call and the hospital is at a walking distance of just 5 minutes.

There is an amphitheater by the sea which is known as The Whispering Groove.

You will be picked up or dropped at the airport and other points of entry at request. Other than that there is convenient private bus service every 10-15 minutes to Mangalore city from the gate of Resort Summer Sands.
