The Guwahati Shillong Cherrapunji tour package begins with your arrival at the Guwahati station/airport. Meet your tour representative and get greeted. Get assisted with transfer to Shillong. The drive from Guwahti to Shillong takes around 3.5 hours through scenic landscape.
On the way to Shillong, stop and stretch by the Borapani Lake. Surrounded by the beautiful Sylvan hills, it is the biggest artificial lake in the state of Meghalaya. Also known as the Umiam Lake, it is one of the most popular sites in Shillong.
On arrival in Shillong, check in at the hotel. The rest of the day is at your own leisure. You can take a stroll in your hotel premises and enjoy the scenic setting.

Start the day early. After breakfast at the hotel, leave by road to Cherrapunji, one of the wettest places on Earth, Cherrapunji. The one way journey to Cherrapunji is a distance of 60 kms.
Cherrapunji is one of the highlights of a Guwahati Shillong tour itinerary. On the way come across several waterfalls, limestone caves, striking root bridges, and other natural sites to provide several activities. The tour itinerary includes visit to the Spectacular Seven Sisters Falls, the Mawsmai Cave and the Thangkharang Park.
In the evening, get on the road back to Shillong. On your way back, stop by the Elephant Falls and the famous Shillong Peak. Enjoy the blissful natural beauty of the mountains.
Later, return back to the hotel and stay the night at the hotel.
Start the day with breakfast, after which head for a half day sightseeing tour of Shillong. Pay a visit to the Japanese style park of Lady Hydari Park, decorated with roses and other flowers in a large stretch. After enjoying the sights of Guwahati, head to the next stop of Guwahati Shillong trip.
The journey to Guwahati from Shillong takes around 3.5 hours ride to reach. On your arrival in Guwahati, check in at the hotel. Later, get ready to enjoy the sights and activities in Guwahati. Go out for a visit to the Kalaksgetra. Here you can enjoy the exhibits of a light and sound show displaying the Assamese culture and history. You can also opt for an evening cruise on the Brahmaputra. Taste the delicious Assames fare or try to get some shopping done.
Return back to the hotel for the night.
Day 4 marks the end to the fun-filled Guwahati Shillong Cherrapunji trip. In the morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel.
Before making your way towards to the railways station/ airport pay a visit to the famous Kamakhya Temple. The holy temple is a shrine of the revered Mother Goddess in yoni form and is well-known for tantric practices. After the divine blessings, get to the railway station/airport for your onward journey.
Ans: The best and cheapest way to go from Guwahati to Shillong is via bus. Regular buses run from Guwahati to Shillong by Assam State Transportation. If you want a more comfortable journey, cabs are also good options.
