4 Nights Itinerary Covering: Cochin - Alleppey - Kovalam - Trivandrum
Fondly referred to as ‘God’s Own Country’, Kerala has everything that one needs for an enjoyable tour. The 4 nights and 5 days ‘Cochin Heritage Tour’, starting from Cochin, will cover Alleppey, Kovalam and Trivandrum. The journey will acquaint you with the colonial charm, take you to the palm fringed backwaters and let you indulge in soothing Ayurvedic massage. Also included in the journey is a spectacular Kathakali dance performance.
Upon arrival at Cochin, our IHPL representative will meet you and assist you in smooth transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, set off to explore the tourist attractions of Cochin.
Mattancherry Palace : The Mattancherry Palace is a Portuguese palace popularly known as the Dutch Palace ( Closed on Each Friday ), in Mattancherry, Kochi Kerala. The murals depict Hindu temple art, portraits and exhibits of the Rajas of Kochi.
Jewish Synagogue :Amongst the 7 synagogues located in his area, this Jewish synagogue is the only one which is in operation today. It was built in 1568 and is also called the Cochin Jewish Synagogue or Mattencherry Synagogue.
Chinese Fishing Nets : Bearing witness to the entry of Chinese into Kerala long ago, legends tell that these nets were a gift of the famous Chinese King, Kublai Khan.
Bolgatty Palace : One of the oldest Dutch Palaces outside Holland, the Bolgatty Palace is situated on the Bolgatty Island. It was built in the year 1744 and was the official residence of the then Governor of Kochi.
In the evening, take delight in the Kathakali dance performance which can be arranged at additional cost. Stay overnight at Hotel.
In the morning, take a road journey to Alleppey. Upon arrival, board an exotic ride on the houseboats and enjoy the picturesque scenery as the houseboat passes by. Enjoy delectable delicacies on board the houseboat. Stay overnight on board the houseboat.
Today, move towards Thottapally. Post breakfast in the morning, disembark the houseboat and hit the road to Kovalam. On the way, visit Haripad Subramaniam Snake Temple, which is home to around 500 snake statues. Stay overnight at the Kovalam Beach Resort.
Today, in the morning, enjoy a soothing Ayurvedic massage at an Ayurveda resort. Stay overnight at the Kovalam Beach Resort.
Today, you will be transferred to the Trivandrum airport to board flight for onward journey.
